REACH

REACH is a regulation of the European Union adopted to improve the protection of human health and the environment from the risks that can be posed by chemicals. The offered products of Coolrec Plastics are REACH compliant!

Coolrec as a mechanical recycler, that recovers materials from a mixture that are no longer waste, is fully committed to fulfilling REACH obligations and is carefully following regulation changes.

RoHS

The European Union’s (EU) Restriction of Hazardous substances (RoHS) directive restricts the use of certain substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE). Coolrec has placed great importance in state that our products comply with RoHS directive.

Traceability

The traceability of our products is of high importance and gives us full control and insight in our whole production chain. This enables us to spot errors in an early stage and react accordingly to secure the quality of our products. Furthermore, due to the traceability we can determine guarantee that our products are derived from 100% post-consumer waste plastics.

A large part of our input is derived from intercompany suppliers. Therefore we have more control over the total supply chain. The remaining input is supplied by carefully selected recycling companies with whom we have close contact. This way we assure a better control of the recycled content.

Toy standard

The Toy Safety Directive is the European legislation regarding the safety of toys, by which ‘toys’ are any products or materials intended whether or not exclusively for use in play by children. Coolrec, together with customer wishes has been developing materials, always guaranteeing high quality, which comply with the directive of the Toy Safety Standard EN 71.

Laboratory

Tests are carried out in our in-house laboratory, we analyze and control the materials stability. We guarantee a representative data with a qualitative and quantitative evaluation through mechanical, rheological and chemical tests. Additional evaluation methods are performed to ensure technical performance on request of the customer. and that Substances of Concern (SoC) are not present above regulatory threshold values in materials. and we uses an extensive screening and analysis method on Substances of Concern (SoC), developed by Plastics Recyclers Europe, to guarantee that we respect all regulatory treshold values.
