Recently, the RecyClass audit took place at Coolrec Plastics. For those unfamiliar with RecyClass, it is very similar to EUCertPlast. In fact, it was created through an agreement between the two, with the aim of advancing certification for plastic recyclers in the future. RecyClass has developed a reliable traceability system for the origin of plastic waste, as well as a method for calculation and verification of the recycled content in plastic products. We are proud to announce that Coolrec Plastics has successfully passed the RecyClass audit.

The main benefit of this audit is providing certainty about the origin of plastics and control over the recycling stages. We can consistently offer transparency regarding the composition of our products. It also means that the recycled content in our end product is calculated and verified by an accredited third party. This certification enables us to accurately measure and identify the amount and type of recycled material present throughout the value chain.

The audited recycling process and associated management systems meet the requirements of the Audit Scheme for Recycling Process Version 1.1, in line with EN15343: 2007 standard. Therefore, Coolrec has the necessary procedures in place to ensure the traceability of recycled plastics produced. Check the certificate here.
